Patty Preece

Patty graduated as Valedictorian from a Bachelor of Audio Production and now works as a Lecturer, (current-Central Queensland University, former- SAE Byron Bay) specialising in studio production and music production for screen, radio and live performance. Her area of personal interest is instrument design and gestural controllers and she has designed and built the iron/ironing board instruments used in the live show of The Ironing Maidens. Patty is an Ableton Live Certified Trainer.

Working alongside the Emmy Award winning team of Cate McQuillen and Hewey Eustace (mememe Productions-dirtgirlworld, get grubby TV) for the past 5 years Patty had the opportunity to work as the on set sound recordist for the Get Grubby Series on ABC (2016).  Patty is a sought after live music and studio engineer working at festivals such as Mullum Fest, Bellingen Fest and Blues Fest Byron as well as producing and engineering for many bands including CC the Cat, The Hussy Hicks, The Button Collective, Jimmy Willing and more.
